Matchday 4 in the CAF CC for Asante Kotoko produced the best performance so far for the team as under thirty minutes, Kotoko were three goals up.

Coach C.K Akunnor made four changes to his starting eleven that lost to Nkana away in Kitwe, Zambia. Wahab Adams, Augustine Sefah, Daniel Darkwah and Martin Antwi came in replacing Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Amos Frimpong, Maxwell Baako and Habib Mohammed.

Abdul Fatawu Safiu broke the deadlock on the third minute when Emmanuel Gyamfi was brought down by Joseph Musonda at the right side of their defence, beating Allan Chibwe to produce the first goal.

Buzzing with blistering performance in the game, Emmanuel Gyamfi gave the home side the cushioning by giving the vociferous fans at the stadium something to cheer about exactly after twenty four minutes when he latched on a cross to produce the second. The third came from Martin Antwi from a set piece from the left side of defense of Nkana FC three minutes later.

Coach Beston Chambeshi pulled out Goal Keeper Allan Chibwe after thirty minutes of poor display. He was replaced with Kelvin Malunga for the rest of the game, the first half ended 3-0 for Kotoko.

The Second half started at a much slower pace, with Festus Mbewe coming in to partake in the game. Nkana Fc increased their performance with swift play improving their confidence whiles Kotoko reduced their intensity, but made use of the positive containment strategy.The game remained a class with beautiful play from both teams. Referee Mihindou Gauthier added up three minutes of extra time to the full ninety minutes of entertaining soccer.

Kotoko now move to second place with six points after Zesco lost 1-3 to Al Hilal In Sudan.
