Former Ashanti gold defender Daniel Opare has earned a late call-up to replace the England based defender Andy Yiadom to make the Ghana Black star squad to face the Kenyan National team in Accra.
The 27-year-old, Andy Yiadom who plays for English Championship side Reading, has been excused from the Black Stars squad for the match in Accra because of the injury setback.
He picked a serious injury last weekend as Reading were held by Stoke City in the English Championship match.
He won’t be fit in time for the game so coach Kwesi Appiah has decided, he stay in England to begin treatment over the injury.
Yiadom has been in terrific form for Reading this season and he is expected to be a key player for the Black Stars in the coming years.
Now Daniel Opare, added to prove to Coach Akwasi Appiah that he is up to task and he playing for Ghana is based on merit.
