Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko are purported to be in the market in search of a new assistant coach.
Fast spreading rumors in the media space and information reaching us at sportsnewsgh.com has it that current assistant coach Akakpo Patron is to be reassigned to the team’s youth side hence the search for a new assistant coach.
The Porcupine Warriors recently crushed out of the CAF Confederations Cup in the group stage after which various calls have been made for the need to strengthen the team with special regards to the technical aspect.
News has it that Akakpo Patron is to be reassigned to the U-20 side of the team due to his exploits and experience he gained in training the youth from his days at WAFA.
Patron a former player of Kotoko and now a coach joined the Porcupine Warriors a year ago from academy boys WAFA.
He worked as an assistant coach under past coach Paa Kwasi Fabin and is also serving under the same capacity with new head coach C.K. Akonnor,but that is due to change in the next coming days.
The management of the team deems it fit to strengthen the technical side of the team,hence the arrival at this crunch decision. The decision is to be made public in the coming days.
