Defunct Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee Member (ExCO), Salifu Shaibu Zida has pledged to rally support behind Juvenile Football and Women’s football in the Upper East Region.
The Upper East RFA Chairman, speaking at the just-ended Zida Anniversary Tournament in Bolgatanga at the Ramsey Sports Stadium that recorded 20 male Juvenile teams of U-11, U-13, U-15 and 8 women’s team, expressed his delight to have women’s football bounce back to the region. In his submission at the venue, he revealed that he would not be reluctant in supporting Juvenile football, pledging to offer full support.
“I pledge to continue supporting juvenile football and women’s football as well” “Am not going to relent back, I will continue to give you the support as far as Almighty Allah may give me”.
“I will equally give it to you, giving back to society is not wrong”, Salifu Zida said.
He affirmed that stakeholders of the game are the main architecture of his position as a football arbiter, which he would not be selfish in supporting talent nurturing.
“Without you people, I wouldn’t have equally been where I am. I shouldn’t be greedy or selfish, I will continue to offer my support”, he added.
Salifu Shaibu Zida is the Chief Executive officer (CEO) and bankroller of former Premier League side Bolga All Stars FC now Bolga All Stars SC.
