Former Asante Kotoko SC defender Michael Ofosu Appiah has disclosed that, wearing the jersey of the porcupine warriors was pride despite ages.
According to the former Kessben Player, though they could be asked to pick warriors shirt provided you have the courage to play for the Kumasi outfit, which he never hesitated. And playing for the club, felt proud as a player.
“I felt proud wearing Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC jersey” There was a time that, the coach will lay all Kotoko Jersey down and will tell us that any player who believes can play should take a Jersey”.
The 27-year old who was a member of the Black Satellites squad that conquered the world in 2009 added that, he was paid less as Kessben FC but having a stint with the porcupine warriors added to his pride.
“I was taken 500 GH at Kessben FC whiles taking 400 GH at Kotoko SC but never had issues with coach Ernst Middendolf”, he told Ashh FM in an interview.
Appiah enjoyed a fabulous four years stint with Kotoko before leaving to South Africa to join Jomo Cosmos.Another outstanding display at Cosmos earned him a contract in Latvia where he signed for FC Skonto before making a move to join Infonet in the Estonia.
