Venue Officer for Cape Coast Asante Forkou has revealed that, Robert Mensah Stadium stands the option of being used as training pitch.Looking at fast development on the venue.
According to Asante Forkou CAF Inspection team visited the venue on Tuesday and were quite satisfied with the rapid development on the stadium.
“Today, am at peace with Robert Mensah Stadium”, CAF Inspector told Forkou who doubles as Media Officer for the Total Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
“It is highly possible that Robert Mensah Stadium will be used as training pitch”Our challenge which was Robert Mensah Stadium is virtually approved by CAF as a training venue”, Forkou told ATL Fm.
“Which is good news to everybody”.
Few days to kick-off the tournament, Venue officer for Cape Coast disclosed, that work progress ahead of the 11th edition of the AWCON slated November 17 to December 1 is Ninety percent to a finish.
“I must say, it’s 90% fast work of improvement, by Saturday we will be good to go”.
Ghana will face Algeria, Mali and Cameroon in Group A whiles defending champion Nigeria will battle off Zambia, South Africa and Equatorial Guinea in Group B.
