BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ASHANTI REGIONAL INTER SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES ATHLETICS COMPETITION 

*Do you know that T.I Ahmadiyya also known as REAL AMASS OR AMASS PHOBIA still remains the most successful school in the competition having won the ultimate prize(Super Zonals) on  10 time with Opoku Ware School with just one behind T.I AMASS hoping to bring it to level,10 apiece.*
In 1982, Amass placed first in both boys and girls divisions of the Regional School and colleges Super – Zonal athletic competition held at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. 1984, Amass placed second in the Regional super Zonal athletic Competition 1988, Amass won the Regional championship in the boys Division and the girls took the second position. 1989, Amass again won the Regional trophy in the Ashanti Regional Super Zonal Athletic Competition. In 1990, Amass successfully defended the boys championship trophy in the Ashanti Regional Super Zonal Athletic Competition. The girls won the second position. 1995, Amass won the Division Super – Zonal athletic Championship.

Do you know that AMASS is the only school with the longest keeps of the Boy division Super Zonal trophy for 9 consecutive years(2009-2017)

*DO YOU KNOW THAT, Prempeh College is most successful school at the qualifying or zonal  level popularly known as INTER-CO. Prempeh College has won the INTER-CO for a record of 24 consecutive times without a break since 1993.*

*AFTER THE BATTLE BETWEEN GORO AND WASTY NO SUZO TROPHY FOR BOTH PREMPEH AND OWASS*

*DO YOU KNOW THAT SINCE 1992 THAT OKESS WON BOTH DIVISION OF THE SUPER ZONALS,THEY ARE YET TO WIN IT AGAIN.26 YEARS NOW*

OKESS Won five seperate competitions including Girls Volleyball championship,Girls Hockey competition,Both Boys and Girls Athletics Competition,Soccer Championship and National Soccer Championship during the 1990/91 Inter Schools and Colleges Sports Programme and defended both Boys and Girls division 1992 Athletics Champions in 1992. The likes of Bernard Acheampong,Gabriel Awuah,Musah Fuseini,Bernard Addo,Janet Mensah etc.
