Ashantigold FC’s skillful midfielder Emmanuel Osei Baffour has revealed that his contract expired.
The former Ghana U23 player believes his three years contract with the Obuasi based club AshantiGold has ended .
According to the multi talented player,he claims he never signed a four year deal with the team as it is been rumored in the media.
“I’m surprised about the news,I was a loan player to AshantiGold in the 2013 season afterwards they handed me permanent deal which I signed three years and its suppose to end after the 2017 Ghana Premier League”Osei Baffour shared with Sportsnewsgh.Com in an exclusive interview.
He had his debut goal against Accra Hearts of Oak in the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium before Kwame Kizito equalised to level matters in a Ghalca Top 4 match.
It was in 2014 and 2015 that Osei Baffour hit a huge form as he was selected among the players to feature for both the Black Meteors and the Local Black stars *B* in the Olympic Games qualifiers and the CHAN qualifier against Côte Ivory where Ghana failed to qualifiy.
Osei Baffour played a key role in his first season to help Ashantigold to end their trophy drought since 1996 season to win the 2014 Ghana Premier League for the fourth time in history.
He managed 20 appearances with many assists for Ashantigold in the 2017 Ghana Premier League.
