Kumasi High School has been kicked out of the ongoing Inter-school soccer competition at the Baba Yara Stadium after a 5:4 on penalties following a goalless drawn game with T. I. Amass-Fomena. The Fomena based school proved unyielding to a barrage of attacks by KUHIS take them to penalty shootout with KUHIS eventually Losing on penalties.

Kumasi Anglican managed to beat St Hubert by 2:0 after a dominant performance by the defending Champions. Kass played very eye pleasing football with their entertaining football. They managed to win  2:0 in regulation time.

Opoku Ware School suffered a shock exit from the tournament after a penalty shootout defeat to Juaben SHS. The match ended in a stalemate resulting in a shootout with Juaben winning by 4:2. The OWASS team looked disjointed and didn’t press enough.

Adu Gyamfi SHS continued their forward match to the final with an emphatic 2:0 win over Asanteman SHS in the fourth match of the day. Asanteman created many chances but failed to utilize them. Asanteman were dealt a big blow when they conceded a penalty. Adu Gyamfi capitalized on it to take the lead and consolidated their victory with another well worked goal to make it 2:0

Sakafia SHS then produced the biggest shock of the day by equalizing in injury time after an early penalty goal by Prempeh College.
Sakafia fought gallantly to level the scores with a very lackluster Prempeh College team who didn’t look convincing.
Sakafia won 5:4 on penalties in a dramatic shootout.

The last match of the day was full of excitement with Osei Tutu SHS battling last year finalist Islamic SHS.
The entertaining match saw O.T. taking an early lead but a match winning performance from.Islamic broke the resolve of OT. Islamic managed to equalize deep in the 2nd half.
The drama continued in the penalty shootout as OT wasted four of the penalties with Islamic SHS also wasting three of the shootouts.
The penalty ended 1:0 in favour of Islamic SHS.

The quarter finals will continue tomorrow with Interesting clashes.
