The last day of the Ashanti Regional Inter-schools Soccer competition qualifiers ended today with schools securing their ticket to the final. The last qualifying day witnessed a bit of surprises as some unfancied schools booked qualification ahead of favourites.
The following eight schools have secured qualification to the final 32 barring all boardroom protests and agitations. The eights schools that qualified today are;

Al-Azhariya SHS, Sekyedumase SHS, Nkawie SecTech, Nsutaman Catholic SHS, Kwamang Presby, Opoku Ware School, Ejisuman SHS and Armed Forces SHTS.
The schools that failed to qualify include Tepa SHS, KSTS, Konongo Odumasi SHS, Kumasi Academy etc.

Penalties 5 – 4 in favour of Namong

Owass 1 – Wesley High Bekwai 0

Owass 0 – Namong 0
Penalties Owass 2 – Namong 4

Wesley High – 1
Owass qualified ahead of Namong because Owass won 1 match in regulation time while Namong drew all the 2 matches in regulation time but won on penalties.

3.Tepa 0 vrs 0 Asare Bediako                      Penalties 4-2 in favour of Tepa

5.Tepa 1 vrs Al-Azhariya 0
6. Asare Bediako 0 vrs St Michael 2

Al-Azhariya and Tepa had the same points, However, Al-Azhariya qualified by winning their games in regulation time.

 

At Prempeh College,

KSTS 2:0 AKUMADAN

Mpasatia 1:0 Nsutaman

KSTS 0:2 Nsutaman

Akumadan 2:0 Mpasatia

KSTS1:0 Mpasatia

Nsutaman 2:0 Akumadan

Nsutaman qualified with superior goal difference ahead of KSTS.

 

At Okess Center,

Ejisuman SHS 2:0 C.T.I

Esaase 1:0 Ejisuman

Nyinahin 1:0 Ejisuman

Ejisuman SHS qualified with 9 points.

 

At Kumasi Girls Centre, Sekyedumase qualified on 8 points ahead of KOSS who also had 7 points.

 

Presbyterian SHS, Kwamang, qualified at Owass centre ahead of KUMACA.
