Ghana Premier League Match day 22 Preview; Hearts of Oak vs Berekum Chelsea FC

Spread the love

Phobians cannot afford any further slip up’s against the Blues.

The coveted and ever exciting Ghana Premier League returns to action in Midweek. Eight(8) matches will be played at the various match venues spread across the country.

At the Accra sports stadium, Hearts of Oak will welcome the Blues Berekum Chelsea.

The Phobians are without a win in their last two league outings same as Chelsea who are also without a victory in their last matches.

The Phobians who have been an improved side at home will want to take advantage on the bad away record of the Berekum based side and record their first win in three(3) matches.

Coach Frank Nuttal’s 3-5-2 system has come under intense scrutiny lately, but the same tactics and formation were deployed when the team won three(3) matches on the stretch.

Coach Randolph Armah’s side are under pressure having failed to record a win in their last 3 league matches and will have to respond quickly with the Hearts match coming at the right time in their quest to turn around their fortunes.

Winful Cobbinah is likely to return for the Phobians after his long absence with stints with both the national team B and the mainstream Black Stars.

The live wire as he called will surely bring much urgency to the Hearts set up. Patrick Razak who sat out of the side’s defeat at Bechem is also likely to return for the Phobians, but Inusah Musah will still be out of this game as he continues his recovery process.

The Blues are without any major set backs coming into this match, but will rather be boosted and enriched by the return of their top scorer in the shape of Stephen Sarfo who is back from the Black Stars B camp.

This match will surely be a cracker as matches between these two sides have never lacked its intensity and propensity. The Nation’s Wembley will be the venue of attraction on Wednesday.

HEAD-TO-HEAD:
Both sides have met 17 times in the Ghana Premier League – Hearts have 6 wins, Chelsea have 7 wins with 4 of the matches ending in a draw.

The last time both sides met at the Accra sports stadium, the game ended 1-0 win in favour of Hearts last season .
