Spread the love

The outstanding Ghana Premier League  week 21 was honoured yesterday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium With the home team defeating the travelers by two unanswered goals.

The match took the interest of fans after its start with beautiful inter positional play by both teams until Ashgold made a forced substitution in the 16th minute when fresh legs Ebo Duncan replaced Prince Owusu.

Hans Kwofie broke the deadlock  in the 35th minute for the miners through the effort of the speedster Amos Addai’s assist before the break.

WAFA came strongly into the picture after Jamal Haruna took on the entire defense line of Ashgold only to kick the ball waywardly over the post

The Miners finished the encounter in the early stages of proceedings in the second half when defender Ibrahim Sameed headed home a Roland Amozou corner in the 49th minute.

Ashanti Gold have now moved two places up to 12th position with 31 points while Wafa remain in second position with 43 points, one point behind Aduana Stars but have one game in hand against Asante Kotoko
