Leicester star Jeff Schlupp said ‘Don’t worry, I’ve got three more’ to cops after crashing his £190k Lamborghini
Schlupp also owns a £60k Range Rover Sport, a £105k BMW i8 and a Mercedes sports car
PREMIER League ace Jeff Schlupp had a miracle escape when his £190,000 Lamborghini careered off a motorway into a tree but shrugged: “Oh Well, I’ve got three other cars to choose from.”
The 23-years-old defender who won the title with Leicester City last season amazingly escaped without a scratch after his black super car skidded off the M1 and smashed into a tree on an embankment.
Mega rich Schlupp, who was driving to training in torrential downpour weather on Monday morning as parts of the UK were battered by Storm Angus.
The £12m rated ace was unhurt despite the roof of the car caving in and smashing his head into the windscreen as his sleek black motor was spun round on impact.
Ambulances and cops raced to the scene on the northbound carriageway of the M1 near Lutterworth, Leics, but Schlupp didn’t need medical treatment.
After the emergency services left, the Ghanaian international chatted to recovery men clearing up after the prang, which didn’t involve any other vehicle.
And Schlupp, wearing a track suit and black hoodie was heard to making light of the accident as he joked with the high-viz jacketed Highways Agency men.
Another motorist who pulled up at the scene said: “It was raining like hell and the road was very slippy.
“He was very lucky to have not been badly hurt or even killed.
“You could see the dent in the car is where his head would’ve been. Anyone taller I think would have copped it.
“It was a bad crash but I heard him chatting and he seemed quite cool and unfazed about the whole thing.
“It was just the clean-up crew who were there from the Highways Agency after the police and ambulance who were called out had gone.
“Jeff said to them, ‘I ain’t bothered. Just get the car recovered. Oh well, I’ve got three other cars to choose from.’”
The onlooker added: “He was obviously p***** off but probably happy he had got out alive.
“Mind you anybody else without his dosh would be beside themselves if they wrecked a limo like that.
“It probably wasn’t a write off but repairs to a motor of that spec will run in to thousands.”
Leicester confirmed Schlupp later trained with his teammates ahead of last night’s Champions League clash with FC Brugge at the Kingpower Stadium.
After seeing photos of their star’s wrecked car a spokesman for the Foxes said: “There will be no comment from the club on this.”
German born Schlupp was also not available for comment before last night’s match.
There is no suggestion that Schlupp was driving wrongly.
