Daniel Opare seals loan move to France

Ghanaian international Daniel Opare has landed on loan for six months from FC Augsburg (Bundesliga) to Lens in French. Lyon goalkeeper taken to hospital after fans throw firecrackers at him

An ugly fan incident marred Lyon’s visit to Metz on Saturday, as a firecracker exploded near Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes. The 26-year-old netminder was receiving treatment when the explosive landed nearby, leaving little time to react. Players from both teams, as well as the Lyon training staff, were all in the vicinity when the firecracker exploded.
